The Highlanders hail all the way from West Vancouver and are one of the top teams in BC.

While they lost four starters from last year’s final four team, they return with team MVP and point guard, Calvin Kuzyk, one of the top players in the province, averaging 30 points and 9 assists per game.

The Highlanders’ strength is their depth and size, as they feature 6’9″ phenom Luis Lara Alvarez and three others over 6’5″. Combine their size with the silky hands of Kuzyk, Cassius Gregorian’s ability to drive the lane, and Jordan Jessop’s long- range game, and you have a ticket to print titles. Rounding out the mix are strong perimeter defenders Lipscombe and Manseck. Expect the Highlanders to play an uptempo style as they use defense to score off the rush.

They are also comfortable playing a tighter half-court game, relying on their big men to score from inside. Head Coach Paul Eberhardt is excited and thankful for the opportunity to be here and hopes a strong showing at BRIT 55 will catapult his team moving forward as they take a serious run at a provincial title in March.
